Overview
The Arlington Tourism Public Improvement District (ATPID) commenced operations in October 2016. The District consists of hotel properties in the City of Arlington with 75 rooms or more. The properties pay a two percent assessment on occupied hotel rooms for the purpose of generating funds to market and promote Arlington as a convention, sports and tourism destination.
Objectives
The primary objective of ATPID is to promote business within the hotel and tourism industry for the benefit of the City of Arlington. ATPID conducts and enables all activities that support this endeavor, including but not limited to sales and marketing endeavors.
Additionally, the ATPID funds sales incentive programs to attract group business and mega sports events.
